I swiped some left over fabric from my mom's quilt and made a case. This is my kind of creativity... I just might keep this one for myself!

Here is my boy toil. I made this for a friend of my moms.

This one is my dreaded work in progress. I've tried two different ribbons and three different buttons and it still doesn't excite me. I'll continue to play around with it... I'll post my progress as I change it up. :)

Although I haven't posted any nursing covers recently I am still making them!! I have a few on hand to sell and am taking new orders all the time!

A good family friend brought over this fabric a few days ago and wanted me to make a case for her daughter. Didn't it turn out so cute?!! See everyone, these really can be custom made to your liking. But don't think that you have to go out and buy your own fabric. Unless you find something that you just have to have! :)

Decorated cases are super fun to have. Not only are they pretty but really functional actually. I love that I can just pop it in my purse. I love that I don't have to mess with a bunch of diapers all loose in my purse. It's really nice to just take the case to the bathroom to change a diaper instead of my whole purse or diaper bag.

Ok so again I've heard that some people have never heard of nursing covers. Here is a picture of how they are used. You can see how wonderful they are!!

What Are Nursing Covers and Why Do I Need One??

I just assumed that everyone knew about Nursing Covers. But recently I've learned that's not the case. Nursing Covers are designed for comfortable, private breast feeding. It goes around your neck so you know it won't come falling down if your baby moves around. There is boning at the top... this is special because only YOU can see in! Your baby doesn't have to be completely hidden under a blanket. Your little one can still see your face. Which is very important for bonding with the baby. These covers also have a little added feature which is a pocket on the inside bottom corner. The pocket is made from a cloth and is lined. You can use the cloth corner to wipe up any breast milk on baby's face and the convenient pocket can hold a binkie or a breast pad. I used to go out and have to lug around a giant case of wipes, diapers and 2-3 blankets. One blanket to cover up my breast and baby, one to cover around my side and stomach and another just to keep baby warm. It was such a hassle. Now all I need when I go anywhere is my diaper wipe case that holds enough diapers and is a little bigger than my wallet and my nursing cover... whichs covers ALL of me! It goes down far enough and covers my sides. I'll also add that in the beginning when you're first nursing your little newborn it takes work and practice to get your little one latched on and both of you comfortable. How many times have you had to put a blanket over your head while trying to latch your baby on! With a nursing cover it's so easy. You can see what you're doing with out all the fuss. Nursing Covers are so wonderful!

This is another Nursing Cover I just finished. I love this pattern. Pink and Brown are really "in" right now. I'm in love with turquoise! This pattern is just awesome. I think it works for boy or girl. Really Nursing Covers are for the mom's. Mom's are the one's who wear them. Most mother's I've come across like to coordinate greens and blues if they are having a boy and purples and pinks if they are having a girl. They say turquoise is universal so I say this pattern is perfect for all!!
